Billhop is hiring! This role is for Billhop’s UK entity. We are looking for someone who will drive business growth, ensure strong governance, and foster a high-performance culture while maintaining a client-centric and compliant operational framework.

The Role
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan to achieve business objectives and long-term sustainability.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams within the FSI sector and others.
- Lead market expansion efforts while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Align business goals with regulatory expectations and emerging market trends.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are embedded in all business processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, taking corrective actions when necessary.
Leadership
- Foster a strong risk and compliance culture across the organization.
- Implement talent development and succession planning initiatives.
- Lead with integrity and promoting ethical decision-making
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with investors, clients and the regulator
- Represent the company at industry events and forums (Please note, this role may involve travelling to events.)
Key Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, or senior leadership role within the Financial Services Industry
- Experience in the fintech and payments industries, with a particular focus on commercial cards or supply chain financing
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Experience in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale financial services businesses in a regulated environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and profitability.
- Exceptional at communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, while fostering a culture of trust and teamwork.

Desirable:
- Familiarity with emerging regulatory trends in financial services.
- Experience of leading/ being involved in audits.
