The Role

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan to achieve business objectives and long-term sustainability.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams within the FSI sector and others.
• Lead market expansion efforts while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Align business goals with regulatory expectations and emerging market trends.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are embedded in all business processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, taking corrective actions when necessary.

Leadership

• Foster a strong risk and compliance culture across the organization.
• Implement talent development and succession planning initiatives.
• Lead with integrity and promoting ethical decision-making

Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong relationships with investors, clients and the regulator
• Represent the company at industry events and forums (Please note, this role may involve travelling to events.)

Key Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, or senior leadership role within the Financial Services Industry
• Experience in the fintech and payments industries, with a particular focus on commercial cards or supply chain financing
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and scale financial services businesses in a regulated environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and profitability.
• Exceptional at communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, while fostering a culture of trust and teamwork.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with emerging regulatory trends in financial services.
• Experience of leading/ being involved in audits.
