The role

At Billhop, we have two verticals, namely, “Corporations” and “Small and Medium Enterprises”. We are now looking for a Development Team Lead for the Corporate vertical.

In this role, you will be working closely with the Corporate Business Leader and Corporate Product Manager, while leading a team of software engineers that are developing new features and applications as well as improving and maintaining our current platform. In addition to managing the team and their deliverables – you will also be coding a lot, which we hope makes you feel excited and happy!

Our infrastructure is based on a Kubernetes cluster running a few dozens of NodeJs micro services talking via Google Pub/Sub and REST APIs. Our frontend applications are written in React and everything is hosted on Google Cloud. We are happy with our setup, but never content and never finished. As team lead, you will have a key role in identifying new technologies to implement and better ways to overcome our challenges, but most important - making the team work together!

The role will be located at the Stockholm office or hybrid remote and you will report to the Head of Engineering.

To succeed in this role, we think you need:

• Top notch skills (Javascript, HTML, CSS, Node, Typescript, SQL, NOSQL, React, Docker, Kubernetes, experience with one of the major public cloud providers, and at least one other strongly typed language)
• Experience from mentoring junior developers and preferably experience from leading a team
• Knowledge in observability and deep knowledge of modern front end frameworks like React.js or Vue.js
• Hands-on and theoretical agile knowledge, specifically Scrum. Any additional other, like Lean, Six Sigma, or SAFe, is a bonus
• Solid distributed systems architecture skills
• Experience with CI/CD, feature flagging, and deployment strategies
• Experience from writing functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience from fintech or the payment industry is a bonus
• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
